Kota FAQ

Kota the Triceratops, he’s got more exciting features than you’ll find in Fred Flintstones’ shed. This means plenty of prehistoric action to keep your child happy until the next ice age. Below is a list of commonly asked questions on the cute little dinosaur:

What exactly is Kota The Triceratops?

Kota is a soft and snuggable playmate for any dino-loving toddler. He is a life-sized baby triceratops that comes to ‘life’ with realistic electronic sounds and motion.

How big is Kota The Triceratops?

He stands just over 2.5 feet (76cm) tall, and is about 3.3 feet (102cm) long. Kota weights in at around 37.5lbs (17kg).

So what makes Kota so special?

Kota The Triceratops is a fully interactive toy, he has eleven different sensors throughout his head and body including on his tail, belly, horns, chin, nose, back, and mouth.

For example, Kota knows when you’re touching his chin, give it a tickle and he’ll let out an almighty baby-dinosaur roar. Alternatively, give his belly an affectionate rub to hear him growl with pleasure. Kota also reacts to sound, so (assuming you can speak dino-lingo) try talking to this cute little dinosaur and he’ll respond (hopefully English works just as well). But for those of you who like to watch East Enders in peace, fear not! Kota also comes complete with volume control, a dinosaur designed for the 21st century!

You can also feed Kota, he comes with some delicious leafy green dino snacks. So remember, if he’s been a good little dinosaur, be sure to treat him and he’ll chomp away.

Kota The Triceratops is also strong, kids can ride on him with his integrated spring-loaded seat. Hidden handlebars on his neck make it easy for kids to hold on. As dino-loving toddlers bounce up and down, Kota will play a selection of four different adventure songs, to give a real impression of trekking through the dinosaur jungle. Kota is designed to hold up to 80lbs (36kg).

How is Kota powered?

Kota The Triceratops uses six “D” batteries. These are expected to last for about a month, assuming typical usage levels. Obviously if you keep Kota busy for longer, the batteries will need replacing sooner. In addition, it’s worth pointing out that if Kota is left unattended he’ll fall asleep and consume less power.

Can Kota actually walk around?

No. Kota The Triceratops cannot walk. This has the advantage of requiring less floor space to operate, together with giving you the peace of mind that your dino-loving toddlers can play with Kota safely with minimum supervision.

When is Kota going to be in the shops?

Kota The Triceratops is expected to hit the UK market on 30th September 2008, in time for Christmas.

How much is Kota going to cost?

It’s likely that Kota The Triceratops will sell for about £300, all the latest discount codes will be available here.
